10th annual Thanksgiving Day RUN-DEZVOUS 5k/1 mile

Thanks so much to all 2025 participants. Your generosity raised $5450 and a lot (I did not get around to counting them all, but definitely hundreds) of canned food items to the Olympia Union Gospel Mission and the Thurston County Food Bank.

2025 RESULTS

Online registration link: (free to register with no fees) open until 5:00 AM on Thanksgiving morning. Day of Race registration will occur from 9:00 AM -9:30 AM at Grace Community Covenant Church (the corner of Wiggins Rd. and Yelm Hwy.). Pre-registered athletes please pick up your race bib number by 9:30 AM. If you arrive after 9:30 AM to register, you may still run and donate but do not plan on having official results.

Cost: $10 suggested donation or donation of some non-perishable food items would be great, but if cost is a factor do not feel obligated and come run anyways -- If you have a big family donate what you can, but please do not let cost be a factor. Note: Grace Covenant Church is donating the use of facilities and there are zero operating costs for this event and no sign-up fees, so all donations will go directly to the Thurston County Food Bank and the Union Gospel Mission of Olympia

Start time: 5k will start at 10:00 AM at Grace Community Covenant Church (the corner of Wiggins Rd. and Yelm Hwy.) -- 5501 Wiggins Rd. SE

1 mile will start just after the start of the 5k, at 10:02 AM (Anyone is welcome to run/walk the 1 mile, but it will only be timed with published results for athletes 12 and under and planning on running under 12 minutes)

Parking: There is ample parking at the church. Make sure if you are parking along the start/finish area at the church that you back in, so that if you are leaving as racers are finishing you can see them as you are pulling out.

Awards: 1st place in the youth (18 and under), open (19-39), and masters (40+) categories in the 5k will receive an award. Top 3 overall (12 and under) in the 1 mile will receive awards.

T-shirts: The 2025 $10 runoly.com shirt this year is shown below. One of our goats, Barbara, needed to have her broken leg amputated; she has been adjusting to this three-legged life with aplomb. The slightly cryptic shirt's depiction of Barbara is a great conversation starter, spreading a message of hope and resilience amidst adversity. You are welcome to purchase a t-shirt when you pick up your bib number while supplies last.
